Registration for our 2012 regional Science Olympiad competitions around Alabama in B and C has concluded. Regional tournaments are coming up in February and March. Trees, Rocks & Minerals Lists Available B and C teams can download the Alabama Trees list and Alabama Rocks & Minerals list (Adobe PDF) to assist in preparing for competition. Free MIT Science Videos Available Online The Massachusetts Institute of Technology recently hosted a workshop on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education that included a demonstration of a university project to create STEM focused videos. Check out their work, for free!, at http://blossoms.mit.edu/home Division C Protein Modeling Kits Available Online Prebuild kits for all Division C teams competing in Protein Modeling are available online. No kits will be sent to regional tournaments, instead, teams should purchase the kits online to prepare for the Olympiad. Additional details are available at 3D Molecular Designs.
